I'm a Ghanaian contemporary Visual Artist based in Accra~Ghana.
I emphasize in Mixed media and Abstract Art.
To me, Mixed media & Abstract improves my creativity and increases my visual intelligence and equilibrium.
My work is deeply influenced by my Ghanaian culture, black history and most of all our current era of Fashion.
I love fashion, and being a born Artist I believe when Art and fashion collides Magic happens so I'm fusing Art and fashion in my Practice to erupt that dynamic chemistry.
I unravel the layers of our beautiful kente fabrics & wax prints on my canvas in a dynamic style not only to create art, but to bring to life images, Portraits & figuratives that communicates to observers, captivates the soul, appealing to the eyes & stimulates the minds.
The wax prints & Kente I use in my works symbolizes "Royalty, a symbol of national Pride & Black Identity", not only for Ghanaians but also ties a bond to Africans in the Diaspora. For example, African Americans highlight their connection to the African continent, proudly presenting Kente & wax prints in celebrations of African American heritage, such as Black History Month.
