Irina Khlystun is a Luxembourg-based contemporary artist working primarily in large-scale figurative painting. Her work explores the sensual tension between vulnerability and strength, presence and restraint.
Through layered pigment and textured surfaces, she creates figures that hold the gaze — intimate yet confrontational. Softness in her palette contrasts with the intensity beneath it, revealing desire, quiet rebellion, and self-possession.
Khlystun approaches painting instinctively yet with precision. Each canvas becomes a space where femininity is neither decorative nor submissive, but fully aware of its power.
