Mianyi Liu

Born in 1944 in Xiangxiang City, Hunan Province of China. Graduated from Hunan Normal University in 1967. Worked as a teacher and art editor. Traveled to France, Spain, Italy, Russia, and the United States for art researches. After years of studying and thinking, I fell in love with observing nature with an open mind, and reinterpreting its beauty through oil paintings. I gradually built up my own style in artistic practice: taking from objective images, but surpassing them, emphasizing the emotional expression composed of colors, lines and dots.

Educated in Chinese Language and Culture.
