Kathy Cronin is a painter who specialises in creating highly-textured acrylic pieces. Her work often explores the subject of space, with particular interest in how our mental spaces inform and shape our perceptions of the physical spaces that we inhabit. She often examines these spaces through the lenses of spirituality, sexuality and mental illness.
Kathy Cronin graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design's Level 8 painting course in June 2022 with a first class honours degree in fine art/painting. She was awarded a Collector General Purchase Award at the 2022 graduate show.
June 2017 - exhibited paintings at K-Fest, an Irish art, music and culture festival.
June 2022 - exhibited work for the LSAD Graduate Show, and received an award from the offices of the Collector General.
August 2022 - Exhibited in Sailor's Home, Co. LImerick as part of The Oobleck Collective's "After Our Own" exhibition.
December 2022 - Kathy Cronin will be exhibiting a painting in The Hunt Museum, after part of the museum's "Curator's Choice" series
