Sébastien Fournil

Cheese is a French photographer with roots in Paris and the Mediterranean. He shoots street scenes, portraits and landscapes, with a quiet, patient eye: he watches rather than intrudes, and frames rather than directs. What he keeps from everyday life are the small details — a peaceful landscape, a lone figure, a simple gesture — that tell a story or stir emotions.

His black-and-white series Be Yourself explores individuality through people who stand apart from their surroundings. Each image catches someone simply being who they are, without trying to blend in.
