Richard Omollo is a Kenyan abstract and mixed media artist based in Homa Bay County. His art explores deep themes such as social justice, life’s everyday struggles, African heritage, and the spirit of nature—all conveyed through rich layers of color, texture, and symbolism.
Working primarily with acrylic, fabric, sisal, and crushed glass, Richard’s work blends traditional African materials with contemporary abstract expression. His textured surfaces and bold compositions invite the viewer to experience both the physical presence of the work and the deeper stories embedded within.
Through abstraction, Richard captures emotions that are often unspoken—memories of resilience, beauty in hardship, and the strength of community. Each piece becomes a visual journey, inspired by real experiences and cultural reflections from across Kenya.
Richard has exhibited his work at some of Nairobi’s leading venues, including the Sarit Center Mall, Signature Mall, and Rosslyn Riviera Mall, reaching a growing audience drawn to his unique fusion of material, meaning, and movement.
His mission is to preserve African stories through modern forms—creating art that is not only seen but felt.
