Oles Tsura

I'm an artist from Ukraine. My whole life is connected with art and artistic experiments. Each of my works contains a mystery and an extraordinary approach. My hands are the tools for my ideas and thinking. Through them I feel and touch the surface and contours of the material. They are the medium that connects my inner world with the outer world. They encourage a reciprocal process of touching and grasping, changing my ideas and my perception.

I consider my objects like a lure that tricks and seduces, similar to the situation in angling where the fish encounters the bait. The notion of curiosity inspired me, as it is part of human beings who like to be tempted and apply tools to “hook up” with someone. Each of my pieces represents a metaphorical reflection based on these ideas. My objects are created from different materials and shapes, so that people want to touch and feel them.
