Carolyn Dakin

I am a fine art photographer and photo artist. I have always been fascinated by the beautiful intricate complexity of the natural world. For me, coming home to this connection with nature is what truly matters. I take time to photograph many images, which I layer together to create stories of joy and beauty in nature, as a way of sharing this connection. This process allows me to combine my longtime passions for the observant pause of truly seeing through a camera lens, and imaginative storytelling. I aim to be a voice of positivity in narrating stories.

I am a member of the internationally acclaimed group of Digital Artists, the "Awake" group, based in North America. My work has been published many times in the international "Living the photo-artistic life" magazine.

My art has been exhibited in group exhibitions at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Art Galleries in Wellington in 2019, 2020 and 2021. It was also exhibited at the Dunedin Art Show in 2020. It has been sold to collectors through these exhibitions and is also exhibited for sale in the Art Gallery in Mrs Wooly's in Glenorchy.
