"Somewhere between a question and the moment the ocean answers."
Kristina’s seascapes explore the ocean as a space between states. Her paintings inhabit the subtle threshold between calm and movement, light and depth, clarity and uncertainty.
The water often appears quiet and meditative, yet carries an underlying tension. It is never entirely clear whether we are witnessing a moment of deep stillness or the quiet prelude to a coming storm.
This ambiguity reflects the human condition. Like the sea, we constantly move between inner states — between questions and the search for meaning.
In these works, the horizon becomes a contemplative space where viewers instinctively look toward the water, allowing their thoughts to drift, as if the ocean might quietly hold an answer.
