Ovidiu Emilian Papuc

My preoccupation with drawing and painting started in my childhood, but in high school it crystallized through trials, drawing, painting, modeling, sculpture and all of the ABC of art with an distinguished professor and ceramist, Prof. Ciolpan who took me as his apprentice in his workshop. I even tried mural painting.

Then my interest in old art, sacred art and restoration determined me to attend Art courses, Sacred art and Restoration at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

I was honored to have the chance to meet and then have by my side the local painters Nicolae Maniu, Calin Pojar and Ovidiu Avram from whom I learned things and approaches that made me the person and painter I am today.
