"My work is a deep exploration of the human condition, centered on what I call 'the transparency of the gaze.' Using pastel as my primary medium, I seek to capture the invisible threads that connect our internal world with our external presence. From the seasoned wrinkles of a Northern Argentinean matriarch to the serene silence of a meditating monk, my portraits are not mere representations; they are attempts to stop the frenetic pace of the world and look inward.

I am fascinated by the 'cruel aspects' of time—the textures, lines, and marks that narrate a life lived with intensity. My art moves through diverse cultures and emotions, finding beauty in resilience, joy in transparency, and power in the act of looking directly at the viewer. Whether through the vibrant colors of an Afro-Brazilian smile or the stark solitude of a person on the fringes, my goal remains the same: to create a bridge of empathy and to honor the profound dignity that resides in every human being."
