Kofi Owusu is a contemporary artist from Ghana who creates vibrant paintings using waste fabric as his primary medium. Born and raised in Ghana, he is currently studying at Takoradi Technical University, where he continues to shape his unique approach to textile-based art.
Kofi works with discarded fabrics materials many people overlook but which carry hidden stories. By layering these textiles, he builds rich surfaces filled with texture, depth, and movement. His practice explores themes of memory, transformation, sustainability, and the beauty found in everyday materials.
Driven by a passion for environmental awareness, Kofi uses art to show how things once considered waste can become meaningful and visually powerful. Each piece reflects his belief that creativity can renew, restore, and reimagine what we often throw away.
