Allester Vinteers

My work focuses on self-discovery, metaphysics, myth-making, and drawing from what I find truth and power, in resonance with my core values. Creating art is my way of acting as a magician to enact change, or as an alchemist to transmute a particular state or experience. I create visual language by choosing specific subject matter and symbols that call out to me. I like to channel energy vibrations through my use of color, my brushstrokes, and by incorporating other non-traditional physical materials into my paintings. My work's dramatic mood and whimsicality seizes the attention of the viewer. The detail and hidden symbolism then holds and slowly seeps into the viewer's subconscious, creating a change.
