I am a medical photographer by training. For over 20 years I have made a career in supporting medical imaging for ophthalmology clinical trials. I've seen the insides of thousands of eyes, and a few brains too. I take inspiration from human anatomy, linear forms, unnatural colors, natural colors, the human emotional experience and mind altering experiences.
I live and paint mostly in Alfred, Maine where I live in an 1870 farmhouse with my husband and our two chihuahuas. When it is wicked cold in Alfred, we travel south to Scottsboro, Alabama where we have a small ranch and lots of colorful family and neighbors.
Since you're already here... For the past 30ish years I have collected and researched American Christmas wrapping paper. I have a book that is currently out of print but hope to have another printing in late 2023. "For Christ's Sake, the First 100 Years of Christmas Wrapping Paper in America"
