Katarina Branisova

Born in 1980 in Slovakia, I’ve always been curious about cultures, people, and the world around me. I hold a BA in Art & Design, but when it comes to painting, I’m mostly self-taught. My creative energy is currently divided between painting, fashion, and my new path in art therapy studies.

My work is figurative, often focusing on women or still-life compositions with flowers. Through painting, I seek to capture the essence of emotion and the fleeting moments of vulnerability, fragility, and beauty — not only the kind that can be seen, but also the kind that comes from within.

I’ve been drawn to portraying women in relaxed, intimate settings — moments of rest and self-connection. As I learn more about balance, healing, and boundaries in my own life, these themes naturally flow into my art.
