Dana Langlois

Dana Langlois is the Founder and Executive Director of JavaArts and jGALLERY. She first came to Cambodia in 1998, shortly after graduating with a degree in Photography and an emphasis in Fine Art. For the first year she volunteered for an NGO developing PR and communication materials. Dana opened Java Café & Gallery in 2000, one of the only spaces exhibiting contemporary art by Cambodian and international artists, believing that the only way to foster growth is through exchange and exposure to international trends and art scenes.

A precursor, Dana has contributed significantly to the recent emergence of the Cambodian contemporary art scene through her support of local artists and initiating projects through JavaArts. Currently, working with local artists and institutions, Dana seeks ways to develop public art installations, encourage community participation and develop an arts network.
