Gabriele Krulyte-Zurauskiene

I am a visual artist working primarily in painting, where my practice revolves around the fragile interplay between human experience and the natural world.

My work is rooted in observing fleeting moments – the vibration of light, the structure of leaves, the quiet rhythm of landscapes – and transforming them into visual metaphors of inner states, memory, and time.

A distinctive element of my practice is the use of neon and other office-like markers in painting. I employ them not merely as colors but as gestures of emphasis—visual “highlights” that work like underlining or marking in text. By illuminating fragments of nature, I invite viewers to pause, look deeper, and reconsider what might otherwise be overlooked. Through contrasts of vibrant intensity and quiet transitions, my works open layered spaces for interpretation.

Gabrielė holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Painting from the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
