Elise is a French artist living in Paris. Her interest lies in portraits and figurative nude figure paintings. The depth of human feelings is a fascinating source of inspiration for Elise, who considers portraiture as a way of dealing with humanity itself or in mirror reflection, ourselves. Happiness, sorrow, love, harmony, fear or confidence… her objective is to create an atmosphere through each painting where the viewer can feel involved.

Inspired by her travels round the world, especially Africa and its bold colours, but also by the people she meets Elise conveys her emotional reactions on the canvas as a testimony of the perception of world she lives in.
