Loretta Bonus

I was born and raised in the Denver, Colorado, area and now live in San Diego, California.
I am influenced by natural settings: mountains, hills and deserts, lakes, streams, ocean and waterways, fields and so forth. I am intrigued with the power of nature to influence my states of mind and emotions.
Photographs, artwork and other creative endeavors inspire me.

My formal art education began in high school and continued in various classes at UCSD extension, San Diego Adult Continuing Education, and Art on 30th and elsewhere in San Diego. I have worked with Kate Ashton, Shirin Nikoukari, Roberta Dyer and Brenda York at Art on 30th.

My work was included in regional juried art shows at Ashton Gallery, San Diego, CA, ArtVenture in Costa Mesa, CA and Annual Abstract Show at in Carlsbad, CA during 2022 through 2025.
My work was included in 19 International Juried online competitions held by Teravarna Art Gallery and received an Honorable Mention Award on 15 of the paintings included in those competitions; 1 juried online competition held by KBM Art Gallery; and 2 juried online competitions held by Light, Space and Time Gallery during the 2023 to 2025 time period.
