Dana Mandrika

a contemporary painter based in Latvia, a Baltic state where seasons are distinctly felt, from the vibrant blooms of spring to the golden hues of autumn. The magic of Latvian nature lies in its ability to inspire, whether through the stillness of a misty forest or the bracing winds along the sea.

I have a deep connection with the earth and find joy in walking barefoot on soft sands, rocky terrains, pine-strewn paths, or in the cool waters. It's a grounding experience, a way to feel in harmony with the world around me.

In my art preferred medium is acrylics, and I'm drawn to the play of contrasts, both in colors and textures. Often, I prefer using my hands over brushes, allowing me to immerse myself in the artwork. Painting is a form of meditation for me; it's about being fully present in the moment, following my instincts, and relinquishing control.

The paintings I cherish most are the ones that come from the depths of my heart and soul, guided by emotion and inspired by nature. These are the pieces I offer for sale, as they encapsulate the raw essence of my artistic journey.
