Some time ago I decided that painting would be part of my life in a significant way. Why? Because it’s something that I am passionate about, and so far, one of the few things I can manage despite my lupus disease.

Thus, a hobby became an artistic venture that I called ‘The Tumi Project’. This project has allowed me to be the captain of my own ship. A ship that moves forward at the pace and time I choose to.

*Tumi is a Peruvian ceremonial axe used by Pre-Inca and Inca cultures in the Peruvian coast to carry animal sacrifices and some surgical procedures.
