What you see is what you get.
For me, the most important aspect of a sculpture is emotion. I feel it very strongly, and only then do I shape it into a form. My practice is a cognitive process through which I attempt to capture a deeply personal feeling. The outcome remains open — even during the making, the direction can still change. It is not about how the sculpture looks, but about the emotion it carries.
My sculptures are colorful and aim to evoke contrasting emotions. They reveal different aspects of mental states and can only be approached through feeling. I hope my work encourages you to reconnect with emotions you may have been avoiding.
