Arzu ÇetİN

I am a collage and mixed-media artist based in İzmir, Türkiye. My artistic practice explores memory, nostalgia, and the relationship between images and personal history. Working with found photographs, archival imagery, and paper fragments, I create layered compositions that transform familiar images into new visual narratives. Through cutting, tearing, and carefully assembling fragments, I explore the tension between recognition and abstraction, presence and absence, light and darkness. For me, collage is a process of reconstructing memory. Each fragment carries traces of another time, while its placement within a new composition creates unexpected connections and meanings.
