Ishbel Miller

I like painting a variety of works; still life, portraits, landscape and life drawings. I mainly paint with oils but enjoy pastel work as well. I love colour and love the Australian native environment. Lately I have been using native flowers in my still life works.

I trained in painting at The National Art School in Sydney, I also previously went to East Sydney Tech, Caulfield Institute and Moorabbin Tafe. I studied at Sydney University in Art History & Theory, also Japanese and Linguistics and at UTS in Secondary Education - Visual Art.

I was a finalist in The Dobell Drawing Prize and The Salon De Refuses, as well as The Mosman Art Prize and other art prize exhibitions. I have had shows at Robin Gibson Gallery, Stella Downer Fine Art Gallery and The Fourth Floor Gallery and recently with Thienny Lee Gallery.
