When I listen (vs. hear) to a song, read a poem or a good book; when I marvel at a sight or enchant myself with an experience, -I am looking to feel or be moved. I think of artistic expression in much the same way.

I doodle, sketch, paint -images or ideas that have moved me. 
Any/Every emotion from a chuckle to the common frustration of stepping in someone’s chewing gum, or pet waste. If I can get the viewer to reminisce or feel what I was feeling then I am successful.

In my more abstract pieces, Color is flavor and I’ve got an unbelievable sweet tooth. Mouth watering Granny Smith Apple green is my current delight. Burt tomato and ochre are savory. I taste them all. color matching and creating unique tints, shades, hues… my favorite artistic pastime.

I hope that anyone looking at my expressions, even those I’ve absentmindedly scrawled on a paper towel, see the story or can taste to the colors.

…Oh yeah, and frames matter… I’m partial to floating wooden frames for canvas (no glass) and modern dark wood for paper. More often than not, art I’ve published here will not come framed as this significantly increases the price.
