My works begin where time condenses and perception slows. They absorb traces – traces of movement, memory, material, and resonance. Stillness, transformation, fragmentation, and threshold do not exist separately, but simultaneously. From this, spaces emerge that do not reveal themselves at first glance.
At the core of my practice lies the question of presence. I am not interested in representing the human figure or a specific subject, but in exploring how presence emerges, intensifies, and endures despite the continuous transformation of time and material. Figurative elements therefore appear not as narratives or characters, but as states of presence. They assert nothing, they do not guide—they open perception.
Layering is not a formal device but a repository of time, trace, and change. The surface becomes a place where what has been remains visible, overlaps, and simultaneously withdraws. Fire, ash, fragmentation, and reduction are not subjects in themselves; they are conditions within a process in which material is transformed and new forms of presence can emerge.
