Blessed Nyakarize

My name is Blessed Chizah Nyakarize, born on 29 August 1997 in Zimbabwe, Harare. As kids we would play with clays and create sculptures, this is where my passion for art arose – this opened me up and I got inquisitive about art and wanting to learn about the different types of art. At school we were introduced into sketching and late on in life I got introduced to more artist who used different types of mediums – this is what birthed the use of coffee in my artworks.

I learned more about art using social media, attended an art school briefly which taught me print making and through communication with different artist I learnt how to improve my craft and understand how to express my emotions through the work that I produce. The mediums are use are coffee, charcoal, and acrylic paint. I draw and paint human figures which express different emotions and aspects of life.
My art is motivated by life, the man behind the human – their expressions and feelings that they tend to hold within due to not being certain how the world would perceive them.



In the prior years, I started my own art gallery whereby I would showcase my works and other artists but due to having to work and study at the same time I had to stop operating the gallery....
