“I am fascinated by the idea of abstraction in landscape photographs: when viewing, you are often unsure of what the subjects are and whether they are paintings or photographs. In some cases, the eye can be deceived into thinking the image is a relatively traditional landscape, when in reality it is often captured close to or actually vertically downwards.”

Peter Harlow is an abstract aerial photographer who captures unique and stunning images from above. With a background as a pilot, a passion for photography and a desire to push the boundaries of conventional aerial imagery, he is always looking for ways to photograph intriguing, often mesmerising abstract images.

Whether shooting cityscapes, seascapes or rural areas, Peter's goal is to showcase Australia from a new and exciting angle. He will continue to make stunning aerial pictures which cause you to pause, consider and reflect on these remarkable images.
