Maja Sarenac

Maja Šarenac is a visual artist working with identity and perception through movement and gesture within the fragmented figure.

She was born in 1996 in Valjevo, Serbia, and is based in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She holds a degree in Graphic Arts from the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, where she was awarded Best Student of the Generation (2020). She is also a recipient of awards in drawing (2017) and printmaking (2018).

Her work examines psychological states through the body as a site of perception and expression, focusing on the relationship between internal experience and its external manifestation.

She has presented her work in several solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions.
