Marta Szymanska

I’m an abstract painter whose work explores the deep bond between people and the natural world. I create richly textured canvases filled with bold colours and lots of green that reflect life, growth, and freedom. Each piece I make is a personal meditation, inspired by my journey to find peace and balance in the chaos of life. Through bold brushstrokes, sculptural textures, and layered surfaces, I invite viewers into a space where nature offers calm, comfort, and renewal. My process is guided by both feeling and instinct, it’s a celebration of spontaneity, healing, and transformation.

I grew up in Poland, where I spent much of my childhood in my grandparents’ garden. I helped my grandfather with planting and growing vegetables, and my grandmother with making pickles and jams. Those simple, grounding experiences like playing among flowers, tasting what we grew has planted in me a deep love for nature and its power to heal and bring joy.

When I was 9, my family moved to London. Over time, I returned to the passions of my childhood: painting, cooking, herbalism, and being close to plants.
