Daniele Giusberti

Born in Milano Italy in 1951, lives now in the north mounting of Valtellina where he spends part of his free time in the mountains being passionate about hiking, hunting, fishing, mushrooms and nature in its entirety. For 60 years he has been painting paintings in oil, acrylic, whatercolours,and sculpts his works in wood, both in bas-reliefs and all-round, he models and obtains sculptures with lost wax castings in bronze or reconstituted marble, then painting them in oil. He refined his painting and sculptural techniques by attending courses at the art school of Milan, in France in Grenoble and Paris. During a holiday in Ortisei Bolzano, he discovered wood sculpture from Val Gardena and was fascinated by it. In Ortisei he became friends with some important master sculptors and painters. Working in their laboratories, each with the different techniques they carried out, allowed him to express his ideas in a multifaceted way. His inspiration is nature in general, from animals to landscapes, but he is also deeply passionate about the figurative.
