Hamid Laghari

I was born in Sanghar and currently live in Mirpurkhas, Sindh, Pakistan. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) degree and work in studio-based visual practice. My work explores themes of self-identity, inner psychology, and emotional experience. Throughout my academic training, self-representation remained a key element of my practice, allowing me to reflect on personal narratives, memories, and internal states. My approach involves the use of symbolism and carefully structured compositions to express ideas related to isolation, duality, and introspection. Rather than focusing on literal depiction, my work emphasizes psychological and emotional spaces, encouraging viewers to engage with the unseen layers of the self. Personal experience and critical study of artists concerned with identity and inner life have significantly influenced the direction of my work.Through my practice, I aim to connect personal reflection with shared human emotion, presenting identity as an evolving and ongoing process shaped by awareness and lived experience.
