Nigel brings a wealth of experience and depth to his art, drawing from a rich and varied background in sound engineering and television studio management. Raised in Essex next to the Thames Estuary, Nigel's early years were imbued with the natural beauty and industrial charm of the riverside, themes that frequently surface in his artwork.

From the age of 17, Nigel embarked on a distinguished career in television, film, and theatre, working across a broad spectrum of genres including music, drama, current affairs, light entertainment, and comedy for prestigious institutions such as the BBC and ITV. His technical expertise and creative insights have been honed in some of the most renowned studios in the UK, including Pinewood, Shepperton, Elstree, Television Centre, and the London Studios.

His background as a sound recording engineer adds a unique dimension to his artistic practice, allowing him to incorporate elements of texture, layering, and depth in his paintings that resonate with his understanding of soundscapes and acoustics.
