Sandro Basili is a French photographer based in Beirut, Lebanon. He's using photography as a conduit to connect with people and realities beyond spoken language.
Driven by a curious mind and a desire to instigate imagination, Sandro finds his voice within minimalism. Seamlessly blending visual storytelling with the depth and beauty of the mundane.
His expertise lies in exploring a range of formats to better tell ongoing stories – from the raw energy of street photography and the wilderness to the documentation/reportage of current global and local events. In each frame, he debates struggles, sheds light on less-covered topics, and try to captures the human moments.
Beyond staged photography, Sandro seeks instant scenes that cannot be replicated. By bringing attention to what people tend to overlook, he constantly challenges pre-given notions as he presents alternative ways of perceiving the present.
