Natalie Ola

Natalie Ola is a Finland-based artist working from the Helsinki metropolitan region, where the shifting northern light, vast fields and forest park surrounding her home, and the seasonal rhythms of the landscape continually inform her visual language. The mesmerizing murmurations of starlings that unfold across the same landscape remain a familiar presence beyond her windows.

Her work explores the meeting point between nature and urban energy — where organic forms, luminous color, layered movement, and expressive mark-making intersect with bold structure, rhythm, and emotional intensity.

Flowers, foliage, and animal forms emerge through compositions influenced by the visual pulse of contemporary urban life: bold brushwork, fragmented surfaces, graffiti-inspired marks, and luminous color fields. These elements meet and collide across the surface, creating visual worlds where the contemporary and the organic, structure and spontaneity, coexist.

Working through an intuitive, painterly process in Procreate, Natalie creates original digital artworks through layered color, texture, movement, and atmospheric depth. Each composition develops through experimentation and mark-making until the work reaches its final form.
