Guido Maria Filippi

Guido Maria Filippi was born in Rome on September 4, 1954.

Professionally he moves on two parallel tracks, but coinciding in the same person.
The author obtained a degree in Medicine in 1980, then followed a three-year engineering course, and worked for two years in Paris at the Laboratoire de Neurophysiologie du College de France conducting research on the functioning of the Nervous System and muscles.

He is currently Associate Professor in Human Physiology at the Catholic University of Rome where he combines teaching and research activities.

The same author follows, in the same 1970s, the teaching of Ferruccio Ferrazzi at the Scuola delle Mura, directed by him, developing the technique of drawing, tempera and, later, oil and acrylic.

He would continue over the years, in parallel with his research in neurophysiology, his pictorial research in a manner that was as autonomous as it was continuous and intense, working on even conspicuous formats.
