Anastasia Raus

I am a Ukrainian artist born in Kramatorsk, a city in eastern Ukraine where the war first erupted in 2014. Since then, themes of war, memory, and identity have become central to my work.
I studied Art History at the University of Jean Jaurès in Toulouse and continued my artistic education at École préparatoire, receiving a DNA diploma with honors in 2025.
My practice explores the tension between the brutality of war and its romanticized representations in culture. I have exhibited in France, Ukraine, and Germany, including at the Centre Pompidou, Flutgraben, La Bouillonnante, and the Palace of Culture in Kramatorsk.
