Daniel Xavier

Daniel Xavier (1994, PT) is an artist with a degree in Painting from FBAUL.

His practice conceptualizes the construction of identity as an exercise in confronting the epistemologies of inherited techniques with the speed, volatility and fluidity of contemporaneity. The line of work proposes autobiographical and relational reflections on the (de)construction and re-signification of the body from a feminist perspective.


Hes most relevant exhibitions are Aquém de Hoje, Galeria 78/80 (solo), Espinho Biennial, Estremoz Biennial, RAS artistic residency in Portugal, as well as +351 (São Paulo) and 6B (Paris).
