Ben Yezhak Levi
Painting is, above all, a journey of discovery for Ben Yezhak Levi. Rather than following a single artistic style, he approaches every canvas with openness and intuition, allowing each work to evolve naturally. His paintings are inspired by the emotional connection between nature, the human figure, memory, and imagination.
For more than a decade, Ben lived and worked in Ein Hod, Israel's historic Artists' Village on Mount Carmel. Surrounded by artists and the beauty of nature, he developed a personal visual language that combines expressive color, rich texture, and emotional depth.
Ben studied Art History at the University of Haifa and later worked as a Creative Director in visual design. His background in both fine art and design has shaped a unique artistic approach where strong composition meets spontaneity and freedom.
A member of the Association of Professional Artists of Israel, Ben has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Israel and internationally, including exhibitions in Milan. His paintings are held in private collections across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Japan, and many other countries.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas ...
My paintings reference the teachings of Transformative Art. With a focus on light and energy, each spontaneous stroke serves as a vehicle for healing and channeling peace. My approach reflects my formal background as a plein air painter, however my work today, in part, encompasses the style of abstract expressionism. Using metal leaf and oils on canvas my process is emotionally transformative and spiritually expansive.
Energy flows onto the canvas, emotion takes a unique form. My process feels unbounded, limitless. I have discovered that in this place I am working at a soul level. There is no duality. Prior to this shift I did not know that such artistic freedom was possible.
I believe in the energy of the creative spirit as a healing force on the earth. When I connect with a deeper part within myself as I paint, I trust that this translates to those who enjoy my work. My hope is that you unite with your own inner consciousness as a result of experiencing my process. By exposing my most vulnerable self in each creation, my intention is to dissolve any imaginary boundaries separating us all.
« What I like best in painting is energy, spontaneity, colour, emotions and impression. »
