Born in Miami Beach which explains my use of brilliant tropical colors.

What do I aim to express through my paintings?
Being female is a joy, but also a complex experience. Society tells us to be attractive and sexy, yet warns us to be cautious—what will people think of the way we dress? Will we be dismissed as frivolous or shallow? The conflicting messages are overwhelming. How do we navigate it all?

My paintings explore these ideas.

I’m deeply passionate about oil painting. Its richness, vibrant colors, and enduring quality connect me to a long tradition of artistry. I’m here now, adding my voice to that legacy.
I also have fifty published children's books to my credit and the co-creator of the popular "Rotten Ralph" series by Jack Gantos.

My debut book, "Rotten Ralph," earned me the Children’s Book Showcase Award for Outstanding Graphic Design. I received awards from The American Books Association, The American Institute of Graphic Arts, and American Booksellers and was a finalist for the Oregon Book award for "No More Vegetables" 20003. "Twice as Nice" won a 2005 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Book Award. My first novel, “It’s Hot and Cold in Miami,” received glowing reviews in 2007.
