Ekaterina San

I am a contemporary artist trained in academic drawing, painting, and visual arts through formal education in Belarus, where I studied in both an art studio environment and at the university in Grodno.

My practice is rooted in painting and expanded through years of experience in both studio work and large-scale interior and exterior mural projects. My first solo exhibition took place in 2016, followed by participation in group exhibitions and art competitions in Belarus.

I am currently based in Northern Cyprus, where I continue to develop my practice with a focus on acrylic painting, textured compositions, and site-specific mural works. My work explores the relationship between form, space, and material, often extending painting into architectural environments.

My artistic education began in a specialized high school program focused on fine arts, where I studied drawing, painting, and academic composition alongside additional training in classical drawing techniques.

I continued my studies at an art studio and art school in Grodno, gaining experience in painting, graphic techniques, and art history. I later completed higher education in visual arts at the University of Grodno.

Between 2019 and 2021, I focused intensively on oil painting and large-scale mural work in interior and exterior spaces.

Since 2022, I have been based in Northern Cyprus, where I continue to work primarily in acrylic painting and mural practice.
