Marie Cliche

Born in Québec, a french province in Canada, i grew up in the country until i joint University to become architect. 10 years later, i have left this profession to get involve in art. I became a writer and published a few novels. During that time, i was also painting. Today, painting is my principal activity.
I have always privileged abstract painting because it is based on unconsciousness and the unlimited creative power. Happens then a search of harmony between chaos and structure.
Bright colors and movement are the center of my work. The movement, vehicle of emotion, trains the eye throw the painting while it revitalises the colors. Above all, i try to create beauty. It is my most important motivation because beauty make you feeling the fibre of love in you.
I have always painted on paper. On this organic support, the effects of transparency and density of colors are multiplied in infinity nuances, enriched by the fine texture of the paper. The paper is an active element in the exécution of the painting. It participes to my work.
I have been participating in various exhibitions of groups, ¨Foires d’art¨, and solo exhibitions. I have also illustrated a book of poesy. My work is supported by a gallery.
