Bharati Shah

I am an abstract artist, based in Ahmedabad,India.
I am a self taught cubist artist who didn’t study art but studied law. I was always more in love with painting. I have had 68 solo and group exhibitions in India and abroad which includes a solo show at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery Mumbai. There is nature, music, love, family, school, my life pouring out on the canvas. Each line, each shade of color fits in the whole pattern that is created and fits in each cube! The different colours represent the colours of nature around me. They play a very important role in my work. Wild combinations attract me. I have a circle in my painting which may represent the sun, the moon or the earth. I believe these bring positive energy to our surroundings. It is complex yet simple. It is beautiful. It is relaxing. It is not what you see around you, it is my imagination, my creation. Works of Picasso and George Braque inspire me but prefer to have my own style, be original.
This is my journey. I am enjoying the process.
