Alyona Zavidina

Alyona Zavidina is a contemporary oil painter exploring the liminal space between solitude and presence. Born in Ukraine and now based between Malta and Italy, she creates atmospheric scenes where solitary figures stand dwarfed by vast, often surreal landscapes.
Working primarily in oil on canvas, Alyona's practice investigates what she calls "the architecture of being alone": the way silence shapes consciousness, how the natural world becomes a mirror for inner states.
Self-taught with partial studies at The One Academy, Malaysia, Alyona began painting as a child and returned to art full-time in 2024 after years of navigating life outside the studio. Her work has been featured in *Art Odyssey* (Healing, 2026) and collected internationally.
