Mücahit Güler

My name is Mücahit. I graduated from the Painting Department at Sakarya University in 2021, where I am currently pursuing my master's degree in the same field. At present, I am studying as an exchange student at Accademia di Belle Arti L’Aquila in Italy, as part of the Erasmus+ program.

Since my early academic years, my artistic focus has been on painting child figures, particularly those from underprivileged communities in developing countries. These figures are intentionally removed from their original environments to create a sense of visual and conceptual parody. A central theme in my work is the use of color and contrast—I often employ vibrant, warm tones inspired by pop culture to enhance the emotional and narrative power of each composition.

My practice blends both traditional and digital painting techniques. I frequently combine oil painting, serigraphy, and digital illustration to produce multilayered, expressive artworks. Through this hybrid approach, I aim to explore contemporary visual languages while maintaining strong painterly sensibilities.
