Barry Mitchell

1953 - Born in Glasgow.
1976 - Diploma in sculpture from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (Dundee).
1977 - Left our small island for adventures on the continental land-mass.
1980/1990 Worked in Paris as an illustrator for Biba, Marie-Claire, Cosmopolitan
& Vogue Magazine.
1981/1984 - Four consecutive solo exhibitions at Galerie Philippe Frégnac (Paris).
1982 - Exhibition at Galerie Totem (Brussels). 
2016 - Exhibited at Compass Gallery (Glasgow). 
2020 - Exhibited at Art Nou Mil·lenni (Barcelona). 
2017/2023 - Senior lecturer: Perspective & Life drawing at LISAA School of
Applied Arts (Paris). 
2023: Working from studio at 20 Queen Street, Stranraer.
