Iryna Kharina

Iryna is a Ukrainian born Canadian artist. Since 2009 living and working in Canada, Iryna creates her artworks with over 30 years of painting experience. Even though Iryna is a realistic oil artist, she keeps experimenting with endless possibilities of this medium. After she moved to Canada her style changed a lot under influence of the Canadian art culture. Iryna has AFCA Signature Status at the Federation of Canadian Artists. Active member of the local art groups participating in the group shows and painting contests all over Greater Vancouver area.
The artworks by Iryna capture fleeting moments of the daily life that inspire her to paint still lives and landscapes from life, depicting her emotional experience. Leaving and working in stunning beauty of Canadian nature she paints a lot outdoors to study the colors and lights in her sketches that later overgrow into the full-scale paintings. Iryna’s still lives are painted from the life settings in her studio and often are inspired by the local floral beauty and nostalgic rustic household items that telling the stories of the past.
