Sabine Grossbauer

My works are focussed on the visual re-interpretation of the environment using abstraction, geometricals forms, reflections and unusual perspectives.
I want to extend the notion of photography as a documentation of reality into something of a vehicle or trigger for human imagination.
A photo always has this duality of capturing the moment, being a frozen piece of reality and at the same time its impact, meaning and mood is heavily dependent on framing, lighting and context. This duality fascinates me and is a constant inspiration for my work.
