Kien Nguyen

I was born and raised in Hanoi in the end of Vietnam War. During that time, both my country and my family went through an extremely difficult economic period, facing numerous challenges and hardships. Despite these struggles, it was also a time filled with human compassion and solidarity.

I have always been fascinated by observing and capturing the changes in urban life and the people within it through my art. I take great pleasure in using acrylic and oil paints to bring my observations to life on canvas. However, I am also open to experimenting with any medium available to me, as I believe that each medium offers a unique way to express my vision.

Through my paintings, I hope to share with you a glimpse into my life, my thoughts, and the hard work that goes into each piece of art. My goal is to convey the beauty and complexity of urban existence, as well as the resilience and warmth of the human spirit. I am deeply grateful for your interest in my work and hope that my art resonates with you, offering a deeper understanding of the world as I see it.
