M Belino

I am a visual artist and sculptor, combining my architectural background with an exploration of the body and space. I was born in Poland and grew up in a world shaped by restrictive social norms.

I studied architecture at the Gdańsk University of Technology and at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in Germany, where my understanding of form evolved into a dialogue between body, space, and function- in the spirit of the Bauhaus, which viewed architecture as an autonomous art form.

My sculptural work explores the tension between control, protection, and freedom- tensions inscribed both in the physical body and within social structures of conformity.

I work primarily with sculpture and photography, moving away from architecture toward more direct, bodily forms of expression. I am drawn to the moment when structure loses its authority and the body begins to reclaim its space.
